The Researchers' Association, Odisha has organised a one day Commemorative Seminar on "Seventy-five years of Indian Independence and Indian English Literature: A Correlation (1947-2022)" at Hotel Akbari, Cuttack. At the outset, Professor Bijay Kumar Das, the President of the Association delivered the Welcome Address and Introduced the theme of the Seminar. Dr. Sonali Das, Associate Professor of English, F.M.University, Balasore, and Dr. Dolon Ray, Asst. Professor of English, Chetna Chandidas Mahavidyalaya, Bankura Univesity, West Bengal introduced two Resource Persons, Prof. Sabita Tripathy, Sambalpur University, Sambalpur, and Dr. Ramesh P.Panigrahi, formerly Reader in English, Ravenshaw College, Cuttack respectively.

Mr. Braja Kishore Pall, Reader in English, Oupada Collee read out the proceedings of the last National Seminar held on 15-16 June 2022 at Hotel Akbari, Cuttack. The Resource Persons spoke on the development of Indian English Literature in the last Seventy-five years following Indian Independence. Professor Bijay Kumar Das delivered a Plenary Lecture under the caption, "Landmark Publications of Indian English Literature in the past Seventy-five years of Indian Independence".

Paper Reading Session I

Dr. Sonali Das chaired the first Paper Reading Session in which Dr. Dolon Roy presented a paper on Amitav Ghosh's fiction and Ms. Samikshya Das, Research Scholar at, SambalpurUniversity, presented a paper on Partition Literature. The papers evolved a lively response from the audience. Dr. SonaliDas made perceptive presidential remarks.

Paper Reading Session II

Paper Reading Session II was chaired by Prof.Sabita Tripathy in which Mr. Laxmidhar Panda, Dr. Manamohan Mishra, and Dr. Dayanidhi Pradhan presented their papers. There was a lively interaction with the audience. A Workshop on Indian English Literature was conducted by Prof. Bijay Kumar Das. This interactive session containing 50 questions was highly interesting and useful to the participants.

Paper Reading Session III

The third Paper Reading Session was chaired by Dr. Ramesh Panigrahi in which three Research Scholars from SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY, N.Suman Shelly, S.S. Pujhari, and AR. Bedback presented their papers. Dr. Sonali Das and DrDolon Ray read out the papers of Prof. Shyamala A. Narayan and Prof. B.Parvathi respectively in absentia.

Dr. Premalata Rout, Reader in English Jagannath Higher secondary school, Keonjhar, Dr. Bilkesh Parveen, Reader in English, Tangi Mahavidyalaya, and Laxidhar Panda, proposed a vote of thanks in different sessions. Dr. Ramesh Panigrahi, gave away the participation certificate, Dr. Pravat Kumar Mishra, the Treasurer of the Association conducted the Registration and BOOK EXHIBITION. Dr. Chintamani Bharati conducted the Photo Exhibition. Dr. Sonali Das compered the programme.
