At Hotel Akbari, Cuttack.

At the outset Prof. Bijay Kumar Das delivered the welcome address and highlighted the activities of the Researchers' Association, Odisha. Prof. C.N. Srinath, former Professor of English, Mysore University and university Director, Dhvanyaloka, inaugurated the seminar by lighting the lamp in the presence of Prof. Prabhat K. Singh, Dean of Arts, Central University of South Bihar, Gaya. Dr. Premalata Rout and Dr. Leena Patnaik introduced Prof. C.N. Srinath and Prof. Prabhat K. Singh respectively.

Professor Srinath in his inaugural address spoke on R.K. Narayan and G.N. Devy, Prof. Prabhat K. Singh spoke on Mahes Dattani's "Final Solution and Other Plays from the psychoanalytical point of view. Prof. Bijay Kumar Das spoke on "Rethinking the Author, the Text and the Sahitya Akademi Award: Theory and Praxis."

In three paper reading sessions Laxmidhar Panda (Nimapara College), Pravati Panda (Paradip College), Ashok Kumar Mohanty (SOA University), Santosh Kumar Padhi (Konkarda Science College), Sucheta Himadri Tanaya (Puri Women's College), Sushanta Kumar Sahoo (Narayan's Science College), Braja Kishore Sahoo and Mamata Dey (Khorda Autonomous College), presented their papers chaired by Prof. C.N. Srinath, Dr. Satya Sindhu Ghosh (West Bengal) and Laxmishar Panda respectively.

A workshop on "Communication Skills and Functional English", was conducted by Prof. Bijay Kumar Das. Dr. Ipsita Nayak read out the proceedings of 22nd September 2019 seminar. Dr. Sonali Das (Dhenkanal College) compered the programme. Dr. Bilkesh Parveen, Dr. Brajakishore Pall, Dr. Premalata Rout, Dr. Santosh Kumar Padhy, Dr. Brajakishore Sahoo proposed Vote of Thanks in different sessions. Dr. Bilkesh Parveen intercated with the media. In the end Dr. Pravat Kumar Mishra, Reader in English, Niali College (Cuttack), proposed a Vote of Thanks.
